Using Event Aggregation to Provide Autonomic Mixed Initiative Personalized Service Support in UbiComp Environments

Providing autonomic personalized services is one of the most empowering features of a ubiquitous computing environment. Such personalized support relies on effectively recognizing a user’s needs based on a wide range of input streams. This paper discusses a framework for aggregating these distributed and heterogeneous data sources and using them to infer a user’s goals such that useful pre-emptive support can be offered.
